An impeachment notice has been served to the deputy governor of Ondo state, Agboola Ajayi by the Ondo State House of Assembly.

Contents of the notice reveals that the House Members accused the Deputy Governor of gross misconduct.

Recall that Ajayi recently dumped the All Progressives Congress for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and has insisted on retaining the office.

He has also indicated interest to run for the governorship position in the forthcoming gubernatorial elections which has pit him against the interest of his boss, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.

The Nation reports that 14 lawmakers supported the impeachment of Ajayi.

There were, however, heavy security presence at the Ondo State House of Assembly as the lawmakers were holding plenary.
